Our Services
The Design Journey
Our design process takes you through from concept to completion; beginning with initial consultations and client homework and ending with us handing over the finished product for you to care for and enjoy
Step 1: Initial Consultation and Client Feedback
The Design Journey begins with our initial client interaction, starting with an on-site consultation where we discuss the nuances of the site and talk through the client’s wants, desires and realities. Following this meeting, we provide the client with what we like to call their ‘Homework’ which allows us to garner a feel for their personal taste and all of the structural and planting elements they may want included in the design.
Step 2: Site survey and Evaluation
The site evaluation stage dictates how the garden will be designed; aspects, soil types, existing structures and plants amongst other factors will decide how all structural ideas and elements and client preferences will come into play.
Step 3: Landscape Design Creation
Following the client interaction and site evaluation process, a Landscape Design can be created to reflect the personality and desires of the client. This design, along with working drawings and elevations that allow clients to visualise any structural elements, is then presented to the client.
Construction
Step 1: Installation
Once a design is approved, the installation process can begin. At Saville & Will we can work in a project management capacity at this stage and have various skilled contractors that we engage to carry out different aspects of the installation. Upon the receival of their final design, the client can either engage us to begin quoting and contracting the works that we will then oversee, or hand the design over to a contractor they are accustomed to working with – in which case we are still on hand to provide any additional information and answer any questions throughout the process.
Step 2: Handover
Once our design has been installed, we then run through the final part of the design journey – handing the garden over to the client. This stage includes providing maintenance instructions for both plants and structural elements, as well as a site visit to answer any questions the client may have. Though this part of the process marks the end of the journey so to speak, it is by no means the end of our relationship with the client and we are always available to provide advice and re-think any areas or work on any new projects down the track.
Garden Consultation
We offer a comprehensive garden consultation service to help manage all facets of your garden cares. From advice on mature heritage gardens, overgrown gardens that need to be brought back to life to new builds that need some inspiration to get you started.
It is advised that you start with a garden consultation which if you decide to then engage us to undertake a garden design or landscape plan this fee will be deducted from the design fee.
Just fill out the enquiry form and we will get back to you with our fee structure. Then we can organise a time to meet and get your garden growing again.
